The piston and domes are matched sets. Take off your aircleaner and push the
piston up and see if it drops smoothly with a slight thud. If not loosen the
dome and do it again. When it operates smoothly tighten the dome using a
cross tightening method. There's no need to overtighten the screws.

Also, look at the condition of your needles to see if they are worn. Same
with the nozzle.

FWIW, the oil weight has no bearing on steady state driving and only a
slight difference on acceleration.

PS Look inside your dizzy to make sure everything is still conected and
moving smoothly. The vacuum advance plates don't last very long and get very
notchy.
