Gary, I didn't have them on mine either; I just took a length of chain, a piece of steel angle iron, and bolted the end links of the chain to the 2 points you mentioned (last top manifold bolt - with the manifold off - and the front cover) and used the angle to space out the chain. Works fine without having to have the "proper" lift brackets. I used it twice that way! Fred J.
