Devcon makes a line of metal-filled epoxy compounds that are just the ticket for
this sort of repair. The part you need to repair is probably aluminum (?), so
the
Devcon Aluminum Putty (F), their part # 10610, would be the one. This material
is
machineable just like the base metal - and the US and Royal Navies have been
happy
with the results when I have spec'd it for repairs on the equipment I design for
them ;^).
