I was up at a BMW tuner in Wilmington DE last week to look at a job
offer
and they had just recieved a euro spec mini from the factory. BMW gave
it
to them to set up for show room stock racing. It wasn't off the truck
longer than 2 min before 2 of the guys had a dealer tag on it and were
out
beating on it. It returned about 1 hour later with the spare on the
back.
Apparently in the "spirited" break in it was getting it got curbed and
destroyed a wheel. Now it is sitting in the shop with all the trim off
being prepared for the roll bar. The driver said it was a blast to
drive,
an absolute street legal go-cart, but a little shy on horsepower. I
guess
thats what I would say too if my daily driver was a 432 HP supercharged
M3.
Mayebe I'll get to take it for a spin after the roll cage is done.
