I'm still trying to figure out why the simplest, seemingly least-controversial
statements I post
draw cheapshots from some of "y'all". The remark from Stan came right out of
left field and was
totally uncalled-for, and as for Frisbee - well, I'm sorry, but that guys got
more hot buttons
than an NRA activist (oh wait - that's redundant).
I hooked up with the Roadster List about 5 years ago, when my Roadster had only
been garaged for
about 6 years. It's been an invaluable source of all sorts of actual
information, between the
occasional rants, that I have filed away for use when I am finally able to get
the Roadster out of
the garage. Unfortunately, I have found the atmosphere to be increasingly
unfriendly, mainly due
to 3 or 4 consistently hostile listees (and "y'all" know who you are), so I
figure that, with my
old Rallye catalogue insert and the phone numbers and URLs for the Roadster
suppliers, I've got
what I need - so I don't have to put up any longer with the few cheapshot
artists on the list who
spoil the show for the 99.9% who are great people.
