| My annual winter rally was held in my driveway today. I run it alone
because I never know the date it is held until the day comes... With
temperatures soaring into the low 40s I pulled the covers off the roadster
and started it up. It started easily and wanted to go. When shoveling the
pile of snow in front of the car I noticed the snow fleas were out, a good
sign of warmer weather to come... I eased the car out of its little parking
area and into the regular parking area. With several inches of ice covering
my road the warm weather was making a nice layer of slush. After
fishtailing up and down the drive (about 800 ft. of running room) and 360s
at the appropriate spots, I invited my 13yr old son to join the fun. After a
couple more 360s and some great fishtailing, I stuffed the front wheel into
a snowbank and had to go for the shovel. After getting myself out of the
snowbank, I decided the rally was over and I should quit while ahead. Back
on went the covers and we still await some clean dry roads...but the
roadster and I are ready and...waiting...

ps- had a great afternoon at a sledding party with other parents of high
functioning autistic kids(called Asbergers Syndrome)... somehow when we all
get together, the world seems "normal" again.
