Mystery holes.
There are three threaded holes in the front of the timing chain cover on my
1966 1600 engine (passenger's side) below the water pump and alternator that
form a triangle of about 3 inch leg length. There was nothing there when I
took the engine out according to the pictures I took, and was wondering as I
am reassembling the engine if anyone knows what the holes were for.
