Just to fan the flames one more time, there is an auction on ebay that
I don't understand. Item 599951597 at
<http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=599951597&r=0&t=0>
is for a VIN plate and matching title ONLY. No car, no frame, not even
a mismatched body and frame.
Since this list seems around 50% in favor of having the title match the
VIN plate and who cares about the frame, does this mean if I slap this
plate on a car and go to the DMV I own it? I mean, the body tag DOES
match the title, right?
I guess what I'm asking is, "What is the use of this item short of
committing theft and fraud?"
