Miata seats

I need some help with this one.  I found a Mazda Miata in a junk yard
that had the black cloth seats.  However, upon closer inspection, I
noticed that the rails for the seats are mounted on the transmission
tunnel.  What am I missing here to make them fit into a roadster?  Our
rails are on the floorboard.
