Thanks Mike,

I did order the new windshield and rubber gasket from CDM.  The windshield
cost $119.51 and the rubber gasket was $65.12 and shipping to California was
$25.  Peggy there said that the prices have just gone up alittle and their
website hasn't gotten changed yet -- so she gave me the lower prices.  

Thanks to all of you for your advice.  Don't know yet whether I will try the
"rope trick" to install it or have an expert do it.

The new gasket w/o chrome trim pieces (use your old ones)
is around $60.00 I believe.
