At the end of its production run the MGB was a pathetic vehicle. Not only was it
defiled by enormous black plastic covered 5-mph bumpers and raised a couple
inches, the smog devices choked it down to something like 70 horsepower. A sad
demise indeed. The roadster was saved from such indignity by introduction of the
Z.
