hesitation on acceleration

Hello all,

This morning I got into my car and when I took off down the road she was 
hesitating under acceleration.  This is a brand new problem for me.  Could I 
have leaned out the fuel mixture too much?  It's almost like it's stumbling. 
  I think it could be a problem with the distributer too.  I'm not sure.
