Eric,

I'm in the 'strategy planning' stage of this very swap, specifically a
KA24DE (twin cam, 16 valve, 155HP/160ft.lb with LOTS of room for
improvement).....got mine from a local yard, including wiring harness,
computer, MAF sensor, starter, clutch, transmission, drive shaft - not
very cheap in terms of a lump sum cash outlay, but a person could easily
spend as much to properly and completely rebuild a U-20 with modern
ignition, etc. ........I welcome any and all comments and suggestions
from others on the list who have done this particular swap - when it
comes to things like mating the electronics of the new engine with the
original 30+ year old wiring of the car, having someone who has done it
will make the process less of a trial and error pain in the
butt.......hey, that includes you guys that have transplanted those
beautiful VG30s - your former wiring woes would be almost identical to
mine present ones.....Don Miller, the Maw brothers, anyone else?
