This is a great suggestion. I did the same thing in the early 70s with the
race car. Cleaned up a few dings, flared the rear fenders and primed it.
Then took it to the local Miracle Auto Body (just like Maaco) to shoot
color. Ended up with a great race car paint job (passable for a street
car).
