The advice about using safety glasses is good advice. A lot of jobs on
a car require them . I've been a mechanic most of my life, and I've had
a piece of steel removed from my eye twice. believe me it's not fun.
Ah yes you have a ground somewhere in the flasher circuit to blow the
fuse that quick. The buttons in the rear springs are to let the springs
slide on each other easier, and to keep them from squeeking. I would
suggest teflon as a replacement, several parts houses and mail order
places sell small rolls just for that purpose.
