I've been pleased with the performance of Hoosier Autocrosser bias ply and
Hoosier A3S03 radial autocross tires, in sizes 245/45/15 and 225/45/15
respectively. Both will fit under stock late front fenders if you fold the
"lip" under, and fit under rear fenders with 1" flare using 15x9 wheels with
5" backside spacing. These, like most AX tires, are not cheap, ~150 each
plus shipping. I usually get between 120 and 130 runs from a set before they
cord, and at least 100 runs before any really noticeable loss of grip.

I'm less picky about my street tires, since I don't put many street miles on
the car. I found Pirelli P700Z's in 205/50/15 at The Tire Rack
www.tirerack.com on clearance for about $60 each. Great tire, especially for
the price. They work well on my '81 ZX turbo wheels, 15x6, and will fit
under stock fenders. Too bad mine will probably dry-rot before I wear 'em
out!

In the past I've run 14x6 with 205/60/14 Yokohama A008RS2, they worked well,
but not even close to the Hoosiers.
