I've just put 83 15" wheels on my 68 2L. They fit but because the lug nuts
were unique to the wheels I also had to change the studs to 12mm.
Wheels look great but it took a LOT more work than you would think to get
the studs changed, i.e. holes drilled too large so a sutd spun, had to weld
it, the rears are different than the fronts (flat on one side), etc. etc.
It's worth it now looking back but at the time I had my doubts.
