Rear Lamp Gasket

Hi    
Can anyone suggest a good material to fabricate gaskets for the rear lamps to 
me?  They are no longer available anywhere for my car (1972 Reliant Regal) , 
and the existing ones are really dried out & starting to crack apart.  TIA.
