Amber Brake Lights

On U.S. Porsche 356s that came with tear drop brake lights, the entire
light was red, covering two single element bulbs. The outside bulb was the
brake light and turnsignal. The inside bulb was the tail light. In
Europe, they had the amber/red lens. The amber covered the outside
turnsignal and brake light, the red over the tail light. So, when you hit
the brakes, amber lit up, not red. The only exception was in Australia and
Italy, where they got a dual filament inside bulb and the tail light was
combined with the brake light under the red lens.

So, here is the LBC question, anyone know of any British or other European
cars that also had amber brake lights? Or is this solely a Porsche oddity?

Thanks,
Jay
