Precision Engines in Hudson, NH, (the guys who did a list members
lotus engine 20+ years back and still knew what they had done to it)
quoted me $200. for a total balance on a Spit 1500 engine. This
is crank, flywheel, conn-rods and pistons...basically anything that
rotates. This is probably high...I know left coast SOLers have had
balance jobs done for $150 or less, but they probably have more
machine shops to choose from than you or I do.
