I`ve been operating in lurk mode until nowbut here goes. 35 yrs
old,full time student,part time FedEx driver,sing in a bar band. I sleep
maybe 2 hrs a night.Commited Anglophile ever since that night in Jan 64
when I saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan for the first time. My love affair
with brit cars goes back to my early childhood. That time Miss Klein, my
1st grade teacher gave me a ride home in her new Alpine cause I missed
the bus. That Jag Mk.10 that my Dad had for a few years. The woman in my
home town (Park Ridge NJ) who drove a Morgan and would wave at me as I
stared at her every morning on my way to school.(Imagine the effect this
had on a hormonal 10 yr old.) Current cars are a vw Cabriolet,71 ElCamino
SS and a 92 Explorer. (Wife wouldn`t go for a Volvo wagon!)
Previous lbcs were a 73 series III E type ( Bought cheap, I`m not rich )
and a fabulous 77 B that I bought for $500 with a blown motor.
Not macho, I prefer to think of myself as confidently masculine.
That means that 1, Iknow that i`m not a Woman and 2, it doesn`t bother me
that my wife makes twice as much money as I do.
The 1st thing I do when I arrive on campus is grab a cup of
coffee and read this list. I don`t know any of you, but it is like
visiting with freinds every day. I got a little bummed out the other day
when Phil Ethier signed off.
