Hi,

I just came back from a weekend in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I was
up there with around 12 other Triumphs for the First Annual New England
Triumphs Wild White Mountain Mystery Tour. It was a great time.

In short, we all met in Alton, NH for a very interesting fun rallye tour. In
total there were three stages, Sat. morning, stop for lunch, Sat. afternoon and
Sunday morning. We had a sit down dinner in one of the function rooms at the
Days Inn in Tamworth, NH on Sat. eve, and we had a "picnic" lunch Sunday
followed by awards and a raffle. We also had a funkana event to determine the
"slowest" Triumph late Sat afternoon.

The awards were very interesting. They all had names like "Simon Templer Award"
for the best solo participant and "Scotland Yard Award" for the car that showed
the best team work. Also, the scoring system was never explained to the
participants, so noone seemed to be to determined to win (because they did not
know what the winning criteria were.) The "slowest Triumph" award was an "MG"
glass paper weight, interesting.

All in all, it was very fun, and we got to meet and hang with a bunch of really
nice folks. And it was top down weather all weekend despite the threat of
showers Sunday afternoon on the trip home.

I have a funny feeling that they will be having this event again next summer!

Bye,
rml
