Tom Sabo writes about Spitfire engine swaps:
I saw a spitfire with TR6 engine and GT6 bonnet once.
I had the aluminum 3500 V8 in a MK II
I have also seen a rotary in one.
>>For several years now there has been a silver
Spitfire present at the All British Day in Palo Alto
(Ca.), that sports a Chevy 350/4spd, and narrowed
Corvette rear-end. Not the expected hack job hotrod
either but a very sanitary install. Excepting the
wire-mesh cooling cutouts in the bonnet, you really
cannot tell what's under the hood from it's outward
appearance.
