The MK IV engine is a rev. 2 of the 1300 engine. It has the
same recessed deck as the 1500 engine, and takes a 1500 head gasket
(A fact which caused me to buy the wrong gasket once).
It definitiely has liners; I think TRF actually stocks them.
I can't imagine anyone ever changing them, they look to be
permanently pressed into place. Of course they are "dry" liners,
unlike the TR4.
