| Right off I don't know much about triumph frames but I have seen a half
| dozen or so MGA's with either a 302 or 289 V8's in them. Most of these
| conversions incorporated a differnt rear axel but were otherwise unchanged.

A tr4 or tr6 is no prob. They have a frame like a freight train.
Ihave seen a 'Vette engine in a beefed up Spit so there is no doubt it can
be done if you don't care about handling. The problem with to flexable a frame
isn't that the car will fold in half, it is that the handling will go away.
That's why they stiffen them for road racing.
