Well, this doesn't concern a British car, but it's a story
that I think would be appreciated by this audience.
A friend of mine told me that he once had a chance to buy a
300SL Gullwing for $5,000.00 Unfortunately, this was about
1961 or so, when that was a lot more money than it is today;
and my friend, being quite a bit younger, didn't have much of
a cash surplus anyway.
