The Palo Alto British car field meet is this Sunday starting at 10:00AM.
It is a one day meet & does not have the extras one has come to expect
from the Portland event {You jus park your car with all the others of your
breed & look at all the beautiful cars & listen to the music}. It costs
5 or 10 dollars to bring a car, spectators are free. It costs extra to
put your car into the for sale compound. All the clubs go their own way
afterwards to various parties.
The meet usually draws about 500 or so cars. It takes place in a park
across the street from the Stanford shopping centre. Its worth it to be there
at 10:00 & watch all the cars drive in.
I think the organizers could learn a lot from the people who put on the
Portland meet. But it is fun & a good time, for a 1 day quickie.
