Boy the list sure has been quiet lately. I'd guess that everyone is out
either working on their car or enjoying driving it before the winter sets
in.

So, to bring some traffic to the list, I'll bring you all up to speed on
the status of 887 and what I've been up to. For starters it's been very
busy around here for the last 2 months. My oldest son went up to Cincinatti
for grad school - he's at the Conservatory of Music at UC. So had a 4 day
trip up there /w the 95 Voyager and a small trailer to haul most of his
stuff to the new appartment. That trip went off without a hitch! We all
came back to VA Beach for the last 2 weeks of summer. The following weekend
JohnC (the oldest) took the Voyager to JMU to see his girlfriend and to
go to a wedding (one of her relatives). About the time he was getting to
JMU, the xmission in the van went up in smoke. So I had to have it rebuilt
there in Harrisonburg. He went on to the wedding in her car. They got back
to Harrisonburg, and he had to cool his heels there for about 2 days while
the finished putting a new xmission in the van. He came home on Wed. evening.
The following Fri (2 days later) we all (MAC-my wife, ScottE-the youngest-19,
JohnC-23, and I) headed back to Cincinatti in the 95 and 89 vans. JohnC
needed a car up there so he took Trudy the old 89 with 190,000 mi on her.
Got back from Cinci, and the following weekend we had to start getting ready
for a storm - Isabell. That shot down 2 weekends. One getting ready, and
one cleaning up. Luckily we didn't have any real problem at my house but
a lot of folks weren't as lucky. Some were without power for 2 weeks.

With all of this going on, I finished the Oct. issue of the magazine and
you all should be getting it any day. I've had reports some have already
gotten theirs, but I haven't received mine yet.

Last weekend was the 1st time I'd had to work on 887 in a while. I finally
got brown paint on the inside of the doors and the hatch. So I'm now going
to start rehanging the doors, reassemble their insides, and work on the A
pillars. Once that's done I'll be ready to shoot the color coat of paint!
Now all I need is the money to buy it - $250/gal plus!

With all that, now it's just about time to start the Jan issue of the mag.
So, again, I'll make a plee for articles. Come on fellows - it's your
mag. Everyone has a story to tell, a hit to share, or a problem to overcome.
So please, write something up. I'm starting to hurt for articles again.

Without input from you all, I don't have anything to put in the magazine.

So if you aren't out driving or working on your car, well even if you are,
spend a couple of hours and write it up. Let others know what you've been
up to. We're all in this together.

John
