Drill two little holes in the "C" clips then use regular "C" clips pliers to
install them. Works slick!

The hardest part of the whole job was getting the E-clips back on the new
wheel cylinders.

Perfect, thanks Jeff. I should be at the show, I'll look for you. I have a
father-son camp out the night before.

Good info on O'Reilly's. That would be nice to order from them. I second
guess when I rebuild things sometimes.

Thanks,

Mitch

Cool. Just let me know. If I still have them, I'll bring them with me to
Field Days. I have the blue GT.

When I took mine apart, I didn't think they were going to be as bad as they
were. Turns out, only 1 out of 4 wheel cylinder pistons even moved at all,
the rear adjusters were totally frozen, both calipers were half frozen, the
rotors were warped, the hoses were cracking and the rear shoes were soaked
in gear oil. I'm surprised it stopped at all.

I am loving the EBC greenstuff pads, I probably didn't need the V8 ones
though. They lock up pretty easily now.

The rotors are diamond cut "R1" rotors from ebay. I decided to try them
out. So far so good. They were only $89/pair.

I think Moss wanted $179 for EBC rotors.

O'Reilly ordered the reman calipers for $36 each. Autozone could order them
too but I'd rather have A1 Cardone parts than Duralast.

I think Moss wanted $89 each for them.

Thanks Jeff.

I'll probably start the tearing apart process in the next couple weeks. I'll
see how pitted things are and either do a rebuild or jump on your offer
below if they're still available.

I like the sound of your setup. That sounds like fun!

Thank you!

My sympathies.

I just finished a complete rebuild and upgrade of my brakes and bushings on
my 70 BGT. I replaced just about everything but the master cylinder. I put
on V8 EBC pads, drilled rotors and stainless hoses on it. I think the whole
thing ended up costing around $600-$700. Most parts were sourced from Moss.

On the plus side, it now feels like a sportscar instead of a tractor. ;-)

...and maybe I won't have to drive home from antelope island without brakes
again. :-)

I do have a brand new pair of roadster wheel cylinders. Moss sent me the
wrong ones. I'd take $30 for both.

I also have a gas cap for a newer model with the exterior flange for $12 if
anyone else wants it. It's new in the box.

Good afternoon,
I recently purchased a 1967 MGB convertible. It has been sitting the last
10+ years. I was told it was running when put away but since then the brakes
have semi locked up and it has deteriorated in many other ways.

Before I reach out to the various catalog companies for parts I thought I'd
throw this out and see if anyone has any parts kicking around?

Brakes - master, caliper and cylinders, rebuild parts
Clutch - master and slave, rebuild parts
Inner door and window cranks.
Fuel pump - rebuild
Batteries! - Twin 6V setup
Battery trays.
Any rear interior
Cap and rotor
Seat covers
Hub Caps

Thank you all for your time!
