Cone Clinic
After a highly successful season of Cone Clinics in 2006, SCCA will once
again feature this important member-value program at all 2007 National Tours
(except Devens). These are intensive two-hour mini-schools that are held on
the Friday morning of the event weekend and are designed for participants to
refresh and enhance their skills prior to the big show. While designed
primarily for novices and intermediates, veterans looking for a quick "kick
in the pants" have also found the program valuable. Instruction is matched
to the participant's experience level.
Under the guidance of veteran instructors and multi-time national champs Ann
& Andy Hollis, participants will get one-on-one in-car instruction in a
focused environment. By limiting entry to 18, each car will have at least
12 runs through the specially-designed course. Drivers will take away a
listing of their times and an individual "prescription" of areas for
improvement.
In 2006, almost all of the clinics were sold out. Sign up early if you wish
to take advantage of this opportunity, as we expect to fill again this year.
On-line registration/payment is at www.DLBRacing.com and is classified under
"Autocross School". Walk-ups will be accepted only when available.
Participants do not have to be entered in the associated National Tour.
Schools will run from 8:30 to 11:00 am and are priced at $50. All cars must
have a useable (safe) passenger seat.
Note: Cancelled entries will only be refunded until two weeks prior to the
clinic. After that, refunds will be given if the spot can be filled.
