Pete,
The other response was good too.  Other items to consider: The cutting wheel
you might install must have a maximum rotational rating higher than the saw
RPM.  Also, wood tends to cut easier than metal, so the bearings may not be
up to someone leaning on the saw as heavily or as long as as you might if
cutting a solid piece of metal.  As long as you can get a solid attachment
at the hub it should work with the caveats given.
