Thank you for sharing the info on the Andy Hollis "pre-school."
With ony nine entries so far it looks like Hollis' reputation has spread
further than most of us thought. It was the Hollis family some 10 years ago
that was hit with a $10,000 fine for Andy's actions over a Pro Solo season.
When the Hollis family Honda Covic was protested after a Pro Solo event,
Hollis produced a document specifying a non-standard final drive ratio for
towing. Trouble is/was there was also another Honda document stating the
vehicle should not be used for towing. Et Cetera. Several years later Andy
and Ann Hollis paid the fine. It was the largest fine ever assessed and
paid in SCCA, includng pro racing. Andy even serves on the Solo Events
Board today.
