One of the things I was thinking about last year was that during the
normal course of the season there is very little time to just kick back
and do any real advance planning, brainstorming, or just plain
philosophizing about where the program should be going. An SC meeting is
scripted and long enough as it is, and an event is an event, so we
really don't have any format where we can just free associate, discuss,
and work on general topics. Most companies have corporate retreats and I
got to thinking we should too.
Unlike a company, we don't have to move everyone out of the office for
the day so we could just plop down in some restaurants meeting room for
the day on a self pay basis so it wouldn't be hard to arrange or cost
anyone more than a lunch. I'll organize it if it sounds like a useful
thing to do. Early summer, maybe? Comments? Topics?
