I agree with Scott.  On my Z3 the clutch and brakes used a shared
hydraulic system.  There is a slave cylinder on the side of the tranny
that you can bleed when you bleed the brakes.

I'm not intimately familiar with the Z3, but in most of the BMWs with
which I'm familiar, the brake fluid reservoir doubles as the clutch
reservoir.  Look for a hose that comes off the side of the reservoir and
feeds the clutch master.
