I don't know anything of the costs, logistics, politics, history, long  term 
planning, emotional baggage or phase of the planets regarding the region's  
autocross sites....BUT, if GGF had a great asphalt surface, it would be one  of 
the most attractive autocross sites I could possibly imagine! As it stands, I  
don't plan on running the Z06 there again, too much wear and tear on the 
paint  and underbody.

I know the site fund is beyond  sacred, but is there any reason we
couldn't think about spending a wee bit  to resurface and stripe that
lot?  With associated long term  agreements with GGF and the city of
Berkeley to protect our investment of  course...
