Raza, what you heard was probably about the ProSolo.

Bumping is something that only happens at ProSolos, and only on a
per-event basis.

It is what happens when fewer than 5 people register for a class at a
ProSolo. Starting at the bottom of the pecking order, any class with
fewer than 5 drivers gets bumped up a step until you form a class with
at least 5 drivers.

The idea is that a larger class makes for more insteresting
competition. Also, since the winner of each class automatically gets
into the Challenge, the minimum class size ensures that each Challenge
competitor actually had to beat a few people to get there.

Both Kevin Kluge and Harold Olsen got bumped from BSP up to ASP for
the Atwater ProSolo.
