I'll give it a go.

The weekend is split into four "heats":
Heat 1: Saturday AM
Heat 2: Saturday PM
Heat 3: Sun AM
Challenges: Sun PM

Each of the first three heats is basically the same: it starts with HS and
ends with Mod, going more or less in order. In each of the three heats you
will get four runs, 2 at the left and 2 at the right. So by lunchtime on
Sunday, you will have had 6 runs at each course.

Each of the heats is actually split into 8 parts, just for the purpose of
knowing when to get on grid and pre-grid. But all you need to know right
now is that you will run in all three heats, and that the heats move in
class order.

Sunday afternoon, the challenges, is where ProSolo gets really fun. The
first heats are basically just qualifying for the challenges. There are
three challenges: "bonus", "ladies", and "open." Entrants from the ladies
classes (L1 and L2) are eligible for the ladies challenge, and entrants from
the open classes are eligible for the open challenge. The top 8 ladies
drivers compete in the ladies challenge, and the top 32 open class drivers
compete in the open challenge. The top drivers consist of all of the class
winners, and then those competitors who are close enough to their class
winner to fit into the challenge grid. For the open challenge, you
generally need to be within about 0.5 seconds of your class winner (total of
the two courses) to "make the challenge."

The bonus challenge is 8 drivers, filled in a lottery of the drivers who
failed to make one of the other two challenges.

These challenges are basically single-elimination tournaments. Because cars
from different classes run head-to-head, the slower car is given a handicap
(head start) based on the class winner's time.

That's the very high-level description. Feel free to ask for more details
if necessary.

Josh
