This is the opinion below of our Chief of Tech regarding the ban of Kumho
V710 tires. We will not allow the use of these tires at the Marina event on
Sunday. If you have an annual tech please police yourself . If you run the
tires and are protested you will not have a case.

Bryan, I understand the dilema here and it's unfortunate. However, based on
the facts being Kumho has declared the V710 unsafe, for what ever reason,
and has issued a major recall based on previous testings and the fact that
the S.C.C.A. has also recognized a concern by officially "suspending" the
use in Club Racing and Solo events, I feel it would be irresponsible to
allow anyone to run this tire. Although it may be an inconvenience to a few,
I would rather error on the side of caution then to allow one incident to
cause major repercussions for future events.
