I can't rule it out, but I was also seeing occassional delays in times being 
displayed throughout the group with other cars as well, and some of those 
drivers were expressing consternation/disbelief at the times displayed. If the 
timer operator says he stopped the timer within 4 seconds of Pete crossing the 
lights, I'll believe it was only a no-trip rather than a delayed trip problem.
