TOPEKA, Kan. (Aug. 26, 2003) - The Sports Car Club of
America, Inc. announced today that timing and scoring information for
the SCCA Valvoline Runoffs(r) Club Racing National Championship event
will be broadcast live on the internet through www.scca.com

Beginning with practice on Monday, Sept. 15, continuing
through qualifying and all 24 National Championship races from Mid-Ohio
Sports Car Course, fans, friends and family can follow the progress of
their favorite drivers online for the first time ever, as the action
happens.
"SCCA Club Racing has such a family and friend atmosphere
surrounding it, and we know that not everyone can attend the Valvoline
Runoffs each year," said Phil Clarke, Director of SCCA Club Racing. "The
ability of following the action from your home, thousands of miles away,
all week long, is something we've wanted to do for a long time, and are
proud to finally announce for this year's event."
Like the wireless trackside iCard system and Speed Channel
television feed, live timing and scoring data will be taken from the AMB
transponder system. SCCA has chosen a product developed by VFX Digital
Solutions to deliver the data online. VFX has been broadcasting live
timing and scoring for the SCCA Speed World Challenge Championships in
2003, and also provides the service for the CART Champ Car World Series
and Grand-Am.
