Dear SPEED Channel (RIP Speedvision!),
I would like to alert y'alls to a problem in your programming. Last night
at a-proximetly 8:00pm (that's Pacifican time, folks) my Nascar channel
appeared to disappear and instead I was forced to watch some excellent
coverage and impecable commentary of something called Formula 1.
Apparently it's a series of really fast cars that must be big in Europe
and maybe a little bit here if it was impo-tant enough that ya'll had to
interrupt my viewing of the Hooters ProCup (which might I add had a
surprisingly little amount of Hooters).
That's 'K though, because I only had to wait another couple of hours
until Bubba, Buddy Ray, Rusty and Wally came back to my television to
parade around in circles for countless hours on end the way real racin'
should be...
Looking at yer program schedule on yer spiderweb-site, it's lookin' like
ya'll gonna play some Qualifyin' from Vegas as well as that Australia
place... should be an interestin' comparisun. I sure hopes this don't
becum a trend, or I mights hafta stop watching the roundy round guys.
Sincerely,
--Darren Madams... who now understands why Tivo is so popular
so that you can record the Nascar channel and put all the non-Nascar
shows on in primetime the way they should be.
p.s. How come you guys aren't rerunning the hell out of your Touring
Car (and other) season recap videos? You own that programming! Why do
I have to watch Nascar races from 1999? Try it for a week.
p.p.s. Your new commentary team was quite excellent, I really enjoyed
their coverage of the practice and will be tuning in to the qualifying
this evening. You even tried to appeal to the Nascar fans with the best
quote of the night, "He done blowed up his Honda". :)
p.p.s. It really was hard to write in such an ugly style, but I do think
it does get my point across... are you listening?
