        7 SCCA New York Region's win over the Connecticutt Council in the
Tri-State meet.                         New Jersey clubs stayed home.
        7 San Francisco Region pulled 292 members to its season opener at
the Oakland Coliseum.   
        7 Marina (CA) Airport provided the siren call for a NASA group on
Jan. 1, 2002.
        7 Tidewater SCC has revived its Wintercross Series.
        7 Sierra SCC open its '02 season at Libby Field, AZ.
        7 SEB Chair Colan Arnold is presented SCCA's top award, the Carl
Haas Trophy, at SCCA annual convention in Denver.
        7 Randy Noll of Oakland, CA, is SCCA's Rookie of the Year.
        7 Paula Whitney, Irving, TX, is SCCA's Solo II Driver of the Year.
        7 Fresno Chapter honors its top '01 drivers.
