The coverage of the 24 hour races was a truly
outstanding gesture from Speedvision in '01 that won
them many lifelong fans.
In one of the editorials on speedvisions site (from
Steve Machett, IIRC), he said that commentators hadn't
been finalized for '02. Just think, some idiot,
inbred NASCAR dork commentating on F1 - remember hwo
bad the ABC coverage of the USGP was? "That's, er,
David Coultahard followed by (long silence) another
car" and we learned the Montoya was driving a McLaren
at the same event
