I don't think any of us would have trouble with the calculations. We're just trying to come to grips with why they don't match reality. There's some incorrect data somewhere, but where? I think the problem lies in expecting high precision predictions which apply to each person's car when 2-3% error in the speedometer is common, and a few percent variation in size among tire models is also common. -- john@idsfa.net John Stimson http://www.idsfa.net/~john/ HMC Physics '94  |
