Corey's course at Marina was the most open of the year
for our series, but mostly it was more wide than fast.
Last month the Miatas put on the tightest, slowest
course of the year and some folks wanted to balance
this out it seems. 8-)
I ran the course in third gear, but I normally do
anyway. Something to do with a 5.13 differential. I
topped at 7200rpm, a calculated 64mph in a Prepared
class car. Maybe Corey was going a bit faster with his
big hairdryers at full tilt [and they were!], but no
stock class cars were!
This is well within the intended and promised limits
to the insurance company to be called an autocross. It
is no different than what I have run in SFR events, I
have run a few of those.
Does anyone actually care for the facts when they
report these things around here?

We also raised over $2k for the Salvation Army Food
program. We sold about $400 in funruns alone. Usually
the rent is also put into that fund so there will be
about $3k raised and donated to the community from
this event.
Next month's event will be our annual Toy Drive event
with ALL the proceeds also going to that program. The
New Years Day event will also benefit a local charity.
The December event has been cancelled, largely due to
the Time Trials event we are hosting at Thunderhill.
