There are two events on Saturday - in the past, the Day event used to start
a little later (10 or 11), but it looks like this year, the day event is
going to have the first car out at 9:00. Then, there's the night event -
first car out is going to be at 6:00pm, and it finishes up around
midnight. Schedule is on the NASA website
(http://www.geocities.com/nasa_autox/2001/nasa-7.html). Sunday, there's
another event, run just like normal.
Helpful hints:
- Bring a jacket and long pants - weather may be up in the 90s in the Bay
Area, but it's a lot colder down in Marina, especially at night. First
year I did this, I froze my rear off...
- It's going to be dark. Really, really dark. Bring a flashlight,
otherwise you'll be trying to pack up your stuff by feel.
