I won't be at San Diego this year, but did attend last year and was at
a few Pro Solo's. I encourage anyone to go because running with the
caliber of fine racers who show up, I always - always learned
something.

Biggest advice I have is to get there early. Don't push it. Arrive
early enough on Friday to look around, unload. Do several practice
runs. get comfortable. Check in the hotel. Get this all done on
Friday so Saturday and Sunday are race days.

Read everything. Ask questions. I found someone with an SCCA Champ
jacket and talked with them. Some let me walk with them. It all
helped.

Qualcom has a great lot with a fairly big hill. Don't worry too much
about the grade. Just run fast and remember that cars take a bit
longer to slow coming down hill - but not that much longer (on these
bumps)

Have fun. Keep your eyes and ears open and you *will* come back a
better and faster racer than when you left.
