I think you should simply force your wife and children to come out to the
next event. Force usually works best, because then your wife will see that
you mean business, and she will remember her wifely duty to submit to you.
No, but seriously, I am really sorry to hear about this. Pete's right, you
are not alone. If spouses and girlfriends could only realize what fun
autocross is, what a relief it provides, and what a great outlet it is for
children to meander aimlessly around a parking lot, why, we'd have peace and
love and all that. You just can't force people to think a certain way,
unfortunately. It only makes things worse. I wish I had some advice for you,
but I don't. Just my sympathy and understanding.
I wonder what it's like the other way around. Are there any women folk out
there with husbands and boyfriends who don't like them autocrossing? How do
you cope?
