... to save this jewel for the autox comunity,
if this doesn't work, then my white '97 2-door Neon
ACR goes on the general market and will be forever
doomed to a commuter fate. No more scaring cones.
No more spins, slides and skids.
Only Ice-cream on the Highline-trim seats and traffic jams.
150 DOHC-HP wasting the clutch away on Sunol grade
( probably filled with -yuck- 87 octane, lube-brother's oil and
after wearing those RE71's down -- rolling on M&S rated
BigO's -- with the "friendly" tire salesguy talking the owner
into an alignment changing the -2.6 camber into
a squealing, kneeding +1)
Instead of taking direct hits from Candlestick bumps,
the adjustable Koni's will be worn down
by constant ta-dunk's on 580.
$7,500 would save this mint specimen of a rare
species from that fate. It would reward its savior with
all stock 16:1 steering, manual ACR transmission,
"American National Champion" interior (i.e. leather
steering and shifter), four-wheel discs, Carbotech pads,
alloy wheels, Blaupunkt 10CD changer-Cassette-Radio, four
speakers. It is spoiled however, Mobil One only, premium
gas and hand-wash always, K&N. Never rolled or hit.
53000 miles, new head-gasket (warranty), new timing belt.
RE71 with half life left. 30MpG average.
