After some 230,000 miles, the 5-sp transmission in my '95 Neon
self-destructed and split the case wide open.
Does anyone know how I can determine whether a tranny has the "good"
final drive ratio standard in the ACR/Expresso/Sport without seeing the
car? I also understand that '97+ have a different 5th gear ratio that
I'd rather not have.
Standard salvage yard comment: "Yeah. It's exactly what you want.."
Exterior markings, numbers, etc.? Has anybody got a spare? ;-)
